It appears that the widespread hacking and theft of digital data of NTRO/NSA has increased the paper notebook sales in India greatly. Earlier notebooks were only sold in stationery stores, however in January 2016 , it was observed that roadside vendors are also selling the notebooks at a low cost.
Usually the vendors will sell items which a large number of people are using, now as the disadvantages of computers become well known, especially for professionals and small business owners who are being impersonated, many are switching to paper records to keep their information confidential.
